What a world we live in

Watching the news is getting too much for me nowadays, it's one sad story after another. As a mother as well as a human being I will never understand what goes on in peoples minds for them to cause such violent and disturbing acts upon another person, let alone an innocent child. How can a mother sell her baby to a man knowing he is going to make sex tapes with her. How can someone shoot a innocent baby and her father, how can someone just fire into a crowd and take innocent lives. How can a man get stabbed to death while everyone watches but nobody acts. Is this the type of world we have to raise our children in? The world is getting more violent as the days go by. What has happened to these individuals for them to act so violently, they wasn't born that way. Did society fail them? Nowadays a person will get killed just for looking the wrong way, it's like life has no meaning anymore and kids are dieing before they even get to live. I fear for my kids growing up in such a world that doesn't seem to be getting any better anytime soon. This world, this cold cruel world, what has happened to it.
